Chenchila 45miniuted from Cusco

The Chenchila Market

psycho chicken

We took pictures only of the donkies because some times peruvians ask you for money

Valery, frida, aine and I went to see the ruins in Chenchila. Something that you have to pay 170 soles for. We were informed that there is a back way where you don´t have to pay. It was behind the market. A nice old lady selling jellary said we wouldn´t get caught.

We came across a part of the Inca trail and started to follow it. There was a town on the other side of the mountain but it was 3 o clock and we didn´t know how long it would take us to walk the distance. We met a family taking their donkies to the market. We asked them how long it would take to get to the bus station in the next town. They told us that it would take about another hour. In the end it took us about 2 and a half more hours. But we made it before dark, taking a small local bus with great peruvian music and then a bigger bus full of drunken peruvians- and a few annoying americans as well. haha
